So essentially some people are portraying Benson and Caddis as cunts on the same sort of evidence that others are saying Jed and Power are cunts.

Yep - it's what the internet is there for!
TBH though, if players prefer to sit on their arses for more money than if they joined another club, they go down in my estimation.
Unless it was me, of course, cos I'm a lazy bastard

I love the differing opinions....people get to certain conclusions without knowing people personally...

They are entitled to see their contracts offered, but I just cannot understand why we would have to pay Caddis off as that would suggest he cannot get comparable terms elsewhere?

Apparently, he was offered less at Blackpool than he was on here, so what chance do we have of offloading him if he wont take a cut.
If he prefers a bit of extra cash instead of playing in the Championship, I think that tells us quite a bit

Is there any evidence to support Caddis saying he wanted to be paid off or that we are going to do so. Is the source of this any more credible than Fredi

Thing is, there's surely a reason why they're offering him less? Quite possibly budget constraints....but maybe don't think he's worth such a high wage? (I don't know what he earns).....he's undoubtedly a good player, but is he a player who can demand such high wages?

I suppose if he does sit on his arse until his contract runs down he will probably get a decent signing on fee for whatever club he ends up joining.
There must be a reason why both Caddis and Benson wont join other clubs - and it's pretty obvious what that is.
Surely they are only entitled to a pay off if it's in their contracts. If not, they are just trying to force it out of the club just to get them off the books

We don't know what Blackpool offered, what he's on here or why he turned them down.

Well, if it wasnt money what on earth could it have been?
A move to a higher league obviously isn't worth the wonga to him

No, I agree....although, I'm just going on the basis that he is a high earner....is he of the ability to demand high wages which price him out of getting a contract elsewhere....hypothetically speaking....

No. But then there were/are a load of players signed by PdC who obviously were not worth the high paying contracts they were given.
That's why it's so difficult getting rid of

agreed but TAH and JayMac, are? I'm working on the basis there are no arguments over Fods, Ward and Nate Dog who all have new contracts.

People like Ferry and Devera were easy to get rid of as they had the one year option on their contracts, which we didn't take up....not that it's a big loss, for me, I think there's a reason why they've ended up in League Two....along with Roberts & Miller...yeah they were good players, but were they the type of player that should be pushing in the top half of League One?....

The point I'm making there is that maybe that's why it's difficult to offload the players we are still trying to snub? Other teams want them as squad players but their wages suggest they should be first team...
