In twevle years he has played for 8 differnt clubs

That's pretty normal for people around this level, if your saying a member of the Brighton League One champion side who only got released because Brighton are pushing for a top Championship finish isn't good enough than I think your expecting too much of the club.

After a couple of loans spells with tranmere he finally joined them after which he was again loaned out twice. The he had his contract cancelled by mutual  consent. Then a trial with acrington stanely leading to a one year contract but after three substitute appearances joined macclesfield on a two year deal then released. joined Franchise on a one year deal and then earned a one year extension but then again released. Joined brighton on trial and earned a two year deal after which he was told he would not be receiving a new contract but would be invited back to proove his worth after an injury hit season to which he earned a one year deal. Then he was released again of which he is now possible joining us. If i hyad as many employers as he has had i would be asking why. Would we release ritche, absolutley not and that is my point. I expect he will improve us gernerally but im just not sure if players of this calibre will have us smashing this league. The majority of the good pleyers in league 1 are with their clubs under contract and not just released. If anything he will give us experience of league one but then again we have already a few that give us experience in this level. I hope he blows us all away!

So your issue is because he's been released?! What like Dougie? Or like Jay McEveley? Or like Holmes? Or like Roberts? Or like McCormack? Or like Smith? Or like Devera?

I'm puzzled by your point to be honest.

Agreed, and bear in mind he is 31 and 4 clubs have been as loans and 1 club was a non-contract so that only makes 4 clubs in total as a permanent signing, not that many for somebody who has been a pro for 12 years.

Defensive midfielder, lots of experience, who gives a shit if he's had 8 clubs.  Brighton fans seemed to rate him.

Let's at least give him a chance before we write him off.

Flash I never said he was shit. I was only trying to understand peoples optimism as i too want to be optimistic about every signing and was struggling on this one. With regards to roberts yes I do wonder why he has been released as why would clubs let their good players go for nothing and releasing them for free. Again i would use ritche as the example im sure if swindon realise ritche was feeling that his future was elsewhere then we would sell him to at least get some money. Again flash im now not saying roberts is shit either just trying to understand this players merrygoround system.

Jay McEveley, whom you are excited about us signing has had the same number of clubs as Navarro, yet is 4 yrs his junior......

I think that if you compare Navarro's career with Ritchie's so far......at the age of 22 (Ritchies current age) he has played for 2 clubs permanently and 3 clubs on loan, Navarro at the age of 22 had played for 2 clubs permanently and 3 clubs on loan, sound familiar?

Are you going to at least agree that your concerns about him having too many clubs are misguided?

Absolutely but I was not saying he was shit. A few others that have more info than you and i seem to suggest he works hard and is a good passer of the ball. The optimism bar has been raised

I kinda see where you are coming from. I've seen Roberts play before and have always thought he looked a decent player, Navarro is a name I'm aware of but don't recall anything special about him (maybe he's the type of player that goes unnoticed but makes the team tick). Hopefully if he does sign he'll prove to be a useful addition.
