The Tup Tup...a regular haunt for the Geordie Shore crowd if I'm not mistaken?? Such a nice lad and a credit to the game then. If he'd of signed for town he wouldn't of been able to of come on tour to the US (if we ever had one). Apparently this was the reason why we didn't go for him.

1. The Tup Tup is a bar that many famous and faux-celebrities get drunk. Kanye West got into a scrap when he visited. 2. Yes, Ranger would struggle to get a VISA for the USA. 3. I don't think his time in the Young Offenders had any influence on us missing out on Nile Ranger. I recall Town offering/rumoured to have offered terms and then Newcastle coming in with mega-wages.

I recall Budgie being pissed off because we wouldn't offer what he wanted, but Budgie thought it was quite an affordable amount.
Sounds like a bullet dodged to me.

Apparently this was the reason why we didn't go for him.
He had served his first time in Young Offenders when we had him on trial, he left the Saints after he came out of "prison" we didnt sign him because he turned down our offer and Newcastle offered him more, despite the fact that Budgie said he would be a £5 million player in a couple of years. No loss really in missing out on him.

I can back up what JJEdmunds said. I remember chatting to Lee Peacock about Ranger when he was on trial and he said "he's an absolute beast.....he'll score bags of goals for us" then a few days later he told me he'd been asked to go on trial at Newcastle and he upped and left us. We certainly didn't turn down the chance to sign him...we definitely wanted him. He had served his first time in Young Offenders when we had him on trial, he left the Saints after he came out of "prison" we didnt sign him because he turned down our offer and Newcastle offered him more, despite the fact that Budgie said he would be a £5 million player in a couple of years.

Swindon town are about to agree a settlement with Lucas Magera to leave the club, whilst he signed a 2 year deal at the club he is their highest earner, he wants first team football to try and make the euro 2012 squad, Di canio isn't impressed with his work rate and is trying to release the funds to make the Jervis signing permanent in January.
People write some shit on those transfer rumour sites., I read them when im bored to get a laugh.
