100k still seems way too LOW to even consider

Agreed, just hope Mr Morfuni views that the same way

100k upfront with a 50k promotion bonus.
this is from the same account who broke the Bodin and Munroe deals, so reason to believe it's not bollocks.
Mr Morshead has confirmed this to be correct.

Holloway seems to have total say on transfers so would be surprised if he accepted.
The board on the other hand.....

As I said the other day, that is probably close to his actual value but his value to our team is so far beyond that, so... no thanks.

Can see it now. Bid eventually accepted and Holloway will come out with he asked to leave and I only want players who want to be here.

Especially after he turned down an extension in the summer based on what IH said after the Chip game.

I believe Ollie when he says he wants to do everything he can to build us up and bring success. It is a bloody difficult one if Smith asks to leave though.
Smith has played under Harris before. They can presumably afford a better/longer deal.

Was Smith going all along enabling us to get Bodin.

Smith's partner is from Swindon fwiw.
So was Austin's, and he went to Burnley!

Nah, more likely Sobo. I don't think Ollie will want to sell unless the player makes it untenable he stays (sulk). I don't think he's going to do that, but its Smith so...

Well true, but Burnley were in the Championship weren't they? Plus Bianca probably wanted a new kitchen.

"I fully anticipate, and I want to have, loads of offers for loads of people so that I can say 'No, sorry he is not for sale.
"That will give a great message to our fans, who are slightly exuberant at the moment, whatever they were drinking here has gone down well and they need to calm down a bit." Slightly odd quote, Holloway telling the fans to be a bit less upbeat? or am I misreading what he means here.

All comes down to money though right. Smith is 30? He's got one more decent contract in him probably. If Cambridge are offering him a good pay rise on a two year contract then why wouldn't he want to go?
As others have said, he is probably on little here having been relegated with Sutton.
100k is a decent offer for a career league 2 player right? Hard to replace though.
