A ‘young loan’ or a ‘young’ loan?

Nice!

I'd guess that would be Glatzel is off. The squad for today might give us some sort of indication

If Glatzel is off, i’d rather we bought this lad rather than just a loan.

It will appease the 'any signings Admin?' oddities I dare say

Would hope we have a buy option in January but knowing Swindon, i doubt it.

Only Garner got the balance right & the obvious thing to point out was he was the only manager that had Ben Chorley here…
...and oh how he was pilloried by many when he was here(Garner)

He wasn’t faultless & I don’t know how much of McKirdy turning into a 20 goal striker was Garners work, Payne’s work, someone else’s work or pure fluke. It was very unexpected & out of character looked at his career before & after.

Plus, we *still* had game management issues.

McKirdy & Barry (massively underrated by us imo) either side of Davison was spot on - would bite your hand off for that dynamic front line again.

Also, Garner has been pretty shite every where post Swindon.

I guess when you look at managers & players we’ve had under Clem & consider what they’ve done before & after it just highlights even more than Ben Chorley was the main contributor.

Do we think Russell builds the squad, or looks for the players that the manager (or someone else Wink ) wants?

As was pointed out yesterday we have signed some decent players, but never seemed to have a complete squad

Agree about Davison, always rated him. He got unfair press when compared to Simpson. And,yeah, what a player Barry has turned out at this level and now, higher

Davison was limited. He was a work horse who could finish but his goals to game ration was helped by having McKirdy & Barry either side of him.

I think if we had signed him for the following season he wouldn’t have been as good without those two either of him.

Not that any of that musing matters now but I really did rate Barry

I think Michael Smith is the same limited except he doesn’t have any flair players around him.
