I'm personally sad to see Hutton go. I know he wasn't everyone's cup of tea due to his inability to defend, (he's not alone) but as an attacking wingback, I don't think there are many better (I haven't done extensive research, or any in fact) in the division and I think Gillingham have an asset that might help get them promoted this season. I hope we made a profit on him and I'll be interested to know if we made any effort at all to get him onto an extended contract, I suspect not.

If the rumours are to be believed he wanted out last season so probably made it clear he wasn’t signing a new contract. To be fair to him though he was still producing a decent level of performance (well going forward) |

To be fair to him though he was still producing a decent level of performance (well going forward)
I suspect you are probably right PR. Agree on your final point. He was terrible the last game he played for us (most were) but in general I think his output going forwards was generally positive. I know it's not the done thing necessarily with ex-players but I wish him well. |
