So, after pleading for a ‘lump’ or 2 any sign of such leads to an outpouring of ‘they’re shit’ on twitter.
Think majority of those comments stem from a spell at Pboro when they were at top of League One. They're a ruthless bunch of fans too when it comes to deeming players as shit.

It wasn't long ago that he was considered the best RCB in the league at Carlisle.

Got decent reviews from Rochdale fans even in their dreadful relegation season.

He played 1 game.

I'm assuming those reviews perhaps are from his spell there from 2012-2016?

Don’t trust Wiki - he played 5 games in his short term contract

It’s quite possible that we let players come and train so we can have a coherent training session, rather than them being prime targets. I wouldn’t have thought a former Rochdale and Morecambe defender is up there with our first choice (but who knows…). Numbers are so low you can’t put out two teams with our current squad.

Ah fair enough. Still not a great sample size but he can only do what he can do in a short spell.

If he's impressed Flynn then we'll have to trust him.

Not a rumour (sorry) but I noticed Joe Tomlinson scored 2 in a pre-season game for Posh last week. I wonder if he's still on our radar?

Probably, but (allegedly) not at the price Peterborough want.
I guess that may change by the end of the window, or in January if he's not moved.

He did, at Bedford Town. All credit to Peterborough, they put out a decent team (it helps having Barry Fry at Peterborough as he lives in Bedford and managed them in the 70's)

Yeah I think we're playing a waiting game with JT if I'm honest.

He's seen as a bit of a joke character, but he does a lot of local charity work does big old Barry.

I like JT, but he is too injury prone.

Tomlinson has only ever had 2 injuries in his 5 year career, both ironically while at Swindon otherwise hes been pretty much ever present at every club he has played at. Neither were serious injuries and both different types of injury so its not a recurrance of an injury like Devine or Lyden.

He had two in his first stint, so definitely more than that

Rhys Bennett was a very solid performer earlier in his career at Rocdale, Mansfield and Carlsile.

He looks like what we need, a pretty no nonsense big CB.

Scored a lovely goal for a big defender for Rochdale..link below.

They are suggesting RB is his best position, which could mean that he would be the right sided CB in a 3 who can cover RB behind Hutton when he attacks.

Desipte what Posh fans say he sounds decent enough to me.

Yeah I think sadly there's a lot of difference between not good enough for Peterborough at the top end of L1 and not good enough for us. If he's a right footed FBT equivalent then would be a sensible fit.
