Not trying to be clever and will decide whether to friggin bother or not posting on monday the manager doesnt want pressure on him before the game saturday and is concerned scouts might not show as promised to watch a midfielder previously and didnt turn up

I'm not going to read it until it is apostilled.

Grumpy old men. I should know, I'm one of them. I bet wonder boy and f_c_b eat with the fork in their right hand (and DON'T use the knife)!

In all honesty the TEF's been full of "a mate of a mate knows the manager of such and such .............. blah blah blah !" and its getting tedious now

I apologise if I jumped down your throat somewhat

Fair enough Fred.

This is genuine, I have looked at his stats and he has scored 22 in 19 this season similar to Charlie's record but it is step 4 which is one above where Poole are. Other scouts are sniffing around 4 went last night to a game but he wasnt playing as he had to work

I think an even bigger problem is the absence of the Grammar, Punctation and Spelling Police.

(... raging tide ..., just see it as a citizen's arrest, ok?)

Don't apologise Fred! There is a raging tidal of violent faeces outside our doors and it is our responsibility to get angry even if it is completely unjustified!

You really like this fella don't you?  Did he score a playoff final hat-trick for you on Football Manager?

If you say it enough times it might happen Cheesy

What's wrong with a bit of rumour mongering?  I've heard Neil Ruddock is on his way back as manager...

Undisclosed transfer fees should be stopped.....the fans have a right to know how much a player is bought/sold for.
Fans put money into the club...and time a plenty,it smacks of wanting to hide the facts of a deal...which in my opinion shouldn't be the case.

I want to know how much we sold Austin for.......so whats the big deal in telling us.

Here are some good reasons to hide the facts of deals, contracts and transfers:
1. You don't want other clubs to know what you'll buy or sell players for
2. You don't want to unsettle the other players at the club because of contract details
3. There are non-financial side-deals and add-ons (i.e. promises of future loans) that you don't want other clubs to know)
4. You don't want everyone (but especially agents) to know what your wage structure is.

The way you conduct transfers potentially gives you an edge. Wenger's ability to snap up people like Fabregas gave him a massive advantage.

If Reading hadn't found out about Morrison's release clause, we'd probably still have him.

Transfers are all a bit murky and it would be good to have more openness, but there's a difference between 'having a right to know' and just wanting to know.

Fat sod would need a meteor crater rather than a dugout.
