Wouldn't be surprised if we get David Ball back.

From the Adver..........

7.49pm: Swindon Town are desperately trying to secure the services of two targets believed to both be strikers. One of those deals is expected to be a permanent deal while the other is more likely to be a loan move. However, with only three hours remaining until the window closes, the clock is ticking.

I would. Thought he was half decent but wouldn't want to bank my league 1 status on him.

I wouldn't want him in an ideal world, prefer the Nimley kid, but its getting to stage where beggers cant be choosers.

Christ I'm slow, I remember someone mentioning the Torres deal was holding us up, this makes sense given Chelsea wouldn't release Sturridge until the Torres deal got the green light which it all but has now.  How odd, reminds me of when we claimed the World Cup was hindering our recruitment.

Quote
1955: I was speaking to a football agent last week, and he told me that if clubs wanted to wrap up deals in time to beat the 2300 GMT deadline for transfers, they really needed to have the player undergoing a medical by 2000 GMT so as to get the assessment done and dusted in time to get the required forms off to the Premier League. Consider this your five minute warning people.

Interesting.........Somebody stake out the CG medical room!

I still think the loan will be danny ward (no source), just that he was supposed to be Wilson top target before Austin went

He was big mates with Austin. Even went on holliday with him.

He's not comming back now Austin has left.

More than likely it's the lack of striker at Newcastle...Don't know what young strikers they have though.

Its not Mccallum

West Ham have signed 17-year-old striker Paul McCallum from non-league Dulwich Hamlet for an undisclosed fee.

Not going to happen. Huddersfield already had a bid rejected. Surely they could outspend us.
