Huge difference between Experience and agae as well tbh. Hutton has played over 100 league games now, Shade nearly 100 league games too. Jephcott over 100 and even Darcy has nearly 70. I am not saying we don't need exprience but we are not as naive and young either as some make out

Shade nearly 100 league games shocks me, he's always spoken about as this rough diamond that needs polishing and could develop into a real talent.

Although I checked and "nearly 100" games appears to be 65, which isn't really that close. And 25 of those were off the bench...

was going to post that...

I asked if he said he was going to Burton..

"I think that was said before I joined the convo, but he said that the players aren't happy with what's going on, as they haven't been given a choice, just told they're up for sale"
------------
it does feel like a fire sale

but then we sign Austin and look to sign up Morris as manager which is at odds

Hmm, I can’t really see a senior player revealing to a fan five players the club want to get rid of, but time will tell I guess!

You don’t start 2 injury prone players (Williams and Iandolo) if you are looking to sell them.

Lisa Knight tweet? Bit of a nob and an attention seeker isn’t she? Probably made up.

From twitter:

Easy to see that being true.

I don't think the reason we are trying to sell Adeloye is solely for financial reasons!!

Gladwins legs have gone.

Williams is great but contract up at end of the season and we know the model we're working to

McDonald on wedge and hasn't settled.

Iandolo time to move on.

Also, of course we are selling players for financial reasons.

To finance better players.

The people we're bringing in in this window suggest that we're not trying to reduce our wage bill. What's pretty clear is that the hierarchy back themselves to wheel and deal and come out ahead, and aren't scared of moving people on quickly. It's a bit like how I play FM, although I'm not sure I'd recommend it with real people with emotions and memory. I'm pretty sure we're in for a bumpy 72 hours or so before the window closes, and things will be very different by the Newport game.

Bit contradictory to have a conversation at Swindon with Angus MacDonald about the fact he’s left Swindon.

From twitter:

I'm going to call bullshit. This sounds like someone deliberately stirring it to me.

I refuse to believe the current set up is looking to slash the wage bill in the way they're constantly accused of as it doesn't fit with their other activities at the club. I

I do believe that they're doing exactly what they said they would - move the squad in a direction mainly focused on good younger talent that can be developed. Players likely to be better next season not worse.

My mystic lump predictions are therefore:

- We sell McD
- Keep FBT sign or retain on loan and maybe sign in summer
- Sign a perm central midfielder in early 20s (two if Dolo goes as well)
- Keep Willo at least until summer, longer if we go up. If we get a really good offer that might change but if so he'll be replaced.
- Sign a left back - Tomlinson maybe?
- Bring in a CB on loan.

The sales and savings on the wage bill seem to be about who we want to bring in, and freeing up salary cap headroom to do that. Reed went  Cain came in. Expect more of the same.

Seems a bit of a weird thing to make up though, doesn't it?

Not saying it's 100% true, just you have to be quite a weirdo to blatantly lie about something like that.

Then again, people like Matt Walker exist so you never know.
