Was that short term? We seemed to endure his attacking prowess forever.

He played 40 games in 2 seasons for us. In the 2009/10 season he was subbed or came on as sub in every one of his 16 appearances.

I remember going to Southampton to see us in the JPT in 2010 and he looked an absolute beast and scored 2 goals with Austin grabbing the 2nd against a very strong Saints side.

Exactly what he needs for development. Let’s hope he can show what he is about at a better level than his previous loan and playing career thus far.

It is and also under a very very experienced manager in Gary Johnson.

Fingers crossed its the next stage on an upward trajectory, he got 7 goals in 14 games at Chippenham so hopefully similar at a slightly higher level.

I've blocked a lot of Pericard and Dossevi from my memory. This thread alone might give me nightmares tonight.

No, he was on a short term deal at Carlisle. Scored a few goals which obviously made him relevant again (in lower league term) and we jumped in and signed him for 18months / 2 years (I think) in the January

Quite like the sound of that. We have two competent right backs in the squad today, and I'd rather have one on each side. Hutton has a fair bit about him, but not sure he really suits our style. Paul Sturrock would have loved him.

Swindon Town have held conversations over a swap deal involving Peterborough United’s Joe Tomlinson and defender Remeao Hutton. Sources have informed The Real EFL.

It is understood that discussions have taken place but nothing has yet been agreed. Tomlinson was keen to explore a move in the summer but this was blocked by the club due to a lack of available options at Posh. The defender spent a period at The Robins last season appearing 10 times. He has however struggled for game time since returning to Posh only managing 6 appearances with 38 minutes coming in League One. The left-back’s contract expires in the summer of 2024.

Peterborough United are reportedly keen to add Remeao Hutton to their side. He has been a mainstay in at The County Ground appearing 23 times in League Two starting 21 of them. The right back is highly thought of and has attracted a huge amount of interest from other clubs.

Posh have also been linked with left back Ethan Bristow by The Peterborough Telegraph. Whilst Swindon Town have welcomed back former club legend and Premier League striker Charlie Austin on a deal until the end of the season.

‘Huge interest’ in Hutton should see what someone is prepared to pay. If it’s more than Tomlinson would cost, that’d be the way to go.
