if we had Davison and hunt in our team we would have more points than we currently do. its disappointing we are scrambling around for 2 players that we already had playing for us and with some effort re-signed.

Adver journalist on Twitter quoting Scott Lindsey as saying the next 48 hours are going to be “busy”.

If we sell him after the struggle we’ve had to create chances yet alone score goals so far this season then the club will deserve all the criticism it gets. Anything other than a ridiculous fee will be a massive own goal as he’s worth more to the team than a few hundred grand.

Would you sell him to get Simpson?
Personally I wouldn't.
But the issue is what if the player wants to go? I guess that makes it much harder, risk a demotivated player in his last year of contract.

Huddersfield have signed Simpson so it’s a moot point.

…and if we had re-sign Hunt & Davison our fans would have been apoplectic and claimed we weren’t showing enough ambition and those players weren’t good enough. Let’s not forget bar about one or two of us - every else thought Davison was shit and didn’t want him back here.

I’ve heard about Hepburn-Murphy which is why I put it on the game thread as the convo had started there.

If a 19 year old keeper and striker that is injured for the next 3 months are our only incomings then that will be pretty laughable to be fair. I’m still hoping another striker with an actual presence is coming …

Hepburn-Murphy perm plus a loan striker to cover until Jan would be fine. Backup keeper would make sense if Ward wants to leave. Agree that we couldn't *just* sign an injured player. RHM is not a target man mind, he'd be another skilful 'play off the target man' type. Feels a bit like an Egbo, someone we've had around the club for fitness being given a contract in the hope he can make an impact later in the year.

Agreed and by the same time if they were to now sell McKirdy and Hepburn-Murphy is his replacement then that would be equally as laughable.
