Think it’d be a freebie. Wage off their books for a player they don’t want. Reading about him from some of their fans I reckon he’d be a good signing. Fits the profile to a tee.

Yeah, set to join us on loan? Set to join us for a fee? Set to be released from Bolton by mutual consent and allowed to join us?
The second link I posted seems to suggest the 'set to be released' option, based upon his squad number being given to someone else.

Pretty speculative on their part, they clearly don't know any more than any of us. Having said that, it's exactly the kind of signing we will be making so no great surprise if it happens.

How I see it too. As I said and others were not going to get our socks blown off in this window. Recruitment will be a mixture of the new guys analytical process and maybe what we identified much earlier in the year before BG pissed off.

In a shock scenario, he's probably a 'forward'.

Apart from the Fjortoft deal that Matt Ritchie deal was the shittest in history
I would add to that Duncan Shearer, sold to Blackburn for £800k and not played by them as they only wanted to dent our promotion hopes after he had already scored 22 goals for us by March.

EDIT: posted before reading the rest of the thread Smiley sorry.
