Even funnier....Jordan Stevens wanted by Salford so we must be about to terminate the blokes loan. TBH hes never going to be a footballer, he looks useless. https://tbrfootball.com/report-salford-city-keeping-tabs-on-leeds-20-year-old/As for Salford keepers....they have a very experienced Czech keeper but no backup, had a 18 year old on th ebench last night, so it looks like Kovar will be going there then!

They probably need someone to do the Covid swab tests or something.
No good if you drop them all over the floor

Kovar and Stevens to Salford, eh?
Couldn’t happen to a twattier club, with an even twattier manager.

I assume Manchester United have done us the favour of recalling him rather than us breaking the loan agreement - which if we had done, would have cost us?
I’m not sure why they would but I can’t see why they’d need to recall him either!

Not sure what either Man U or Kovar would have to achieve by going on loan to somewhere they were unlikely to get any game time. I still suspect its either your lack of game time theory or my confidence thing which has led them to recall. Considering he was a young lad in a shite situation here, the responses of some of our 'fans' to the clubs tweet saying he was off back rather shows he's good to be away from here.

Bbc Solent confirm Travers loan with a 24 hr recall clause, subject to him having a negative covid test
That's basically like an emergency loan dressed up in a new way. Certainly need something more semi-permanent. King anyone? lolz

He may do ok in L2 as he has pace, in L1 he was found wanting often by the lack of quality of his final ball, pass, shot, cross, in L2 thats not such an issue, he was a step backwards from Anderson and Woolery who had an element of skill not just pace.

He was just like Alan O'Brien in ways.
Quick - very quick. But that was about it really.

Stevens will not be missed, I don't see a future in the game for him. If the new keeper can dive, Kovar will not be missed - I think a decent coach can probably work with him, but he has some huge technical gaps right now. He is far too upright, which probably comes from being good with the ball at his feet and being shielded in youth football from the packed box he gets in League football.

There's always a risk in judging a young player's career potential on the basis of a short spell in a failing team. Plenty of very good players have had loans that haven't worked out, for one reason or another.
Edit: overlapped with Rob T's post, rather than as a response to it.

Agreed, hence my point on Kovar - there is something to work with, but he's not a good fit for us. Better to take him back to the training ground and work on his technical skills I think. Stevens, I stand by that one, there is nothing there that should be there bar pace and that won't make a career over time. Very few survive long enough when it's just that.
