Pompey fans do have a lower tolerance to "perceived" poor performance on the pitch than almost any club fans I know. They like to think they know a good player but often don't. They booed Ritchie early in his careeer too, Adam May is in good company. |

Hmm, I think on here it's more a case of the natural pessimism/impatience that PV spoke about. Whereas on the FB group, it's every fucking topic is just about how shit the club is. It's just baffling, especially given it's largely driven by a Cheltenham fan who's main agenda seems to be self-promotion |

Another inexperienced youngster on loan.....
Back in 2010, we signed a 20 year old midfielder on loan from Portsmouth that hadn’t played much league football. I’m not sure what happened to him? I think the name was Ritchie.
Yeah...and he couldn’t make it into our team that year. If at the end of our play off season we’d have been given the choice between Matt Richie & Danny Ward - we’d have all taken Danny Ward. A few years later some mad Italian got his hands on him & the rest is history. |

Never been on the FB page. It’s easy to understand, though. A few seasons of decline and the only thing, for some, is to get their jollies knocking the club/Power.
