Loads of L1 sides after him.

The link came about from this post on the Pompey forum.

Cheers PV. No smoke without fire and all that, but just can't see a regular League 1 goalscorer dropping down to play for us.

I am more than happy to be proved wrong.

Some comments from Rovers fans on Kyle Bennett...

Quote
Think he will do ok in league 2, just flattered to deceive with us.

one of DCs worst signings in my opinion just glad hes gone.

Shame. Tonnes of ability but painfully inconsistent. Think he'll thrive in L2 so good luck to him. Highest earner off the wage bill too and another departure

Two bad eggs cracked on the same day ... Good riddance

NO end product and flattered to deceive

He's always flattered to deceive at all his clubs. He lack of assists and goals are surely proof of that?

Bit harsh and OTT from some, Bennett did well last season, like most of the team though he hasnt been at the same level. Just out of form.

Can't imagine Swindle will be paying all his wages.

Such a frustrating player. His build up play and position was good but never an end product.

Most entertaining player in the squad by miles. Shame about the end product.
Never quite sure where Kyle Bennett fitted in to the team? Neither a winger, forward or midfielder!

Bennett is a mistake in my opinion. How many game changers in our squad and 7 on the bench, id keep him, no question.
Wage dependant for me? When did he last change a game? If he is the highest earner, or one of then he's not earning his dough.

I still think Bennett could have played a part. On his day he can be the best player on the pitch. Unfortunately those days have been few and far between this season.

Personally I'd have still liked him in the squad but if he's replaced by a equally good and more consistent winger then fair enough.

Quite clear he wasn’t in Cogs plans. Shame really. Thought he was decent as an impact sub.

Unplayable on his day but not enough days that I saw shame if he was consistent he would be prem league.

Frustrating player that's been poor this season but I do think he'd flourish under a different, more attack minded, manager.

And a couple from Pompey fans...

Quote
So close to being a good player. Has the natural ability but its the decision making that always let him down.

Also he's so tiny that when he has the ball at his feet it looks massive, like subbuteo or something.
The first comment sounds like Anderson Wink

He's been pretty much a regular for Portsmouth, but they have brought in Omar Bogle this week, and are supposedly after an Ipswich striker today. Seems unlikely, but could be possible?

Signed james vaughan too

Inconsistent, frustrating and a bit clueless, sounds like a traditional Swindon signing......

Sounds like a proper dud signing, what is the club aiming for? mid div 2 and the lowest wage bill in the leagues. With our season all but finished there's nothing to get the fans returning on a Saturday.

Sounds like a proper dud signing,
We can only go by what fans of his previous teams say, I am sure Power, Jewell and Wellens have seen enough to think he will make a difference for Swindon, as with every other signing only time will tell.

Apparently he is one of Rovers highest paid players

He's the new Alan O'Brien, to be seen working in a car dealership soon.
