I'm sure a date was mentioned, although my memory may be failing me. It would make sense that it would be today if there is such a date.

I know that in Football Manager (which pertains to use FL ruling) I can sign freebies until April.

Ah well, it may well be my memory going on the blink then.
Regardless, we could do with another CB sooner rather than later. I'd expect/hope to see one soon-ish.

Flitcroft did hint towards that being the case on Monday so hopefully that will happen, we do need it.

Interesting. and necessary. Wonder why Northampton let him go?
I mean that in a curious way, not expecting miracles from an OOC player

Good pedigree at League one level. Looks a good signing on paper

To answer my own question, the fans weren't too bothered mainly because he wasn't getting in the team.
Not that it matters, other than he's going to be ring rusty

On paper sounds like a perfect signing under the circumstances.
Was signed by them only as short term cover while Norfamtun had an injury crisis.

And Shrewsbury before that. And Port Vale before that.

Port Vale fans report -
erm..... when we signed him we was told he was really poor by Walsall and Bristol City fans... they were not that far wrong although he was steady enough but that was in League One. He has zero pace which is a problem. He split opinion a bit but at this level I would of thought he will be ok.

Shrewsbury fans say he is the worst defender they have ever seen his bad discipline let them down many times. I will reserve judgement until I have seen him as Walsall fans said Preston was useless and Northampton fans said Taylor was useless and past it and Shitty fans said El Abd was one of the worst players they had ever seen.

In an interview the other day Brown said he knew Marc Richards and was chatting to him. I wonder if the new defender comes on his recommendation?

He also played alongside Lancashire for Shrewsbury.
