Which is stupid, they have only lost one game in this stupid tournament with a 'weakened' side. Surely if the side they were putting out was so weak, they would have lost all their games heavily.

What a great initiative it is then.
Clubs pay only 5k for playing their young English players in the boycott cup. That's a great incentive.

Unless you are a championship club, obviously their youth are more important so the fines don't apply to them.

Joey Barton returns to Burnley till the end of the season so we can draw a line under that rumour.

Don't think it was a rumour as such, more along the lines of if we want experience, then he's the sort of thing to look at.

Joe Cole was at Villa under Sherwood. He went from Cov to the MLS and their season ends in December I remember at the Ricoh back in March, thinking that little bald fat bloke was a bit shit as he trudged off after being subbed. Then the penny dropped Fooking ell it's Joe Cole.

Tampa Bay Rowdies recently left the dying NASL for the USL (which has better connections with MLS).
Red Bull New York's second team won the USL this year but I'm sure Joe is enjoying the Florida lifestyle to care.
