Perfection is not attainable

« Reply #2040 on: Wednesday, August 5, 2009, 12:07:39 »

Hes not a goalscorer anyway, hes a penalty taker and a free kick taker which accounted for a lot of his goals he scored while at Swansea (when he was younger and fitter anyway) he likes to dictate the play, set up goals but is not a target man and is not a player that gets into good goalscoring positions.

He likes to play "in the hole" behind the striker" and have the ball played to feet, he has never got in the positions to take the chances and is next to useless with his head so even if he was fitter and younger hes a no for me.

We don't want to take up large wages with a player thats always injured, overweight, unfit and well past his best.

Young yuuuuf player Henshall, is currently tracked by Sunderland and Chelsea, after he performed impressively and struck a hat-trick in Swindon's 4-2 victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the quarter-finals of the Milk Cup

We turned down offers from premiership clubs last season, Fitton met with his parents and it was agreed that at this moment in time it was best for the lad to stay at Swindon.  However, a huge offer might change things!

Skysports.com understands Rochdale have rejected an offer for star striker Adam Le Fondre.

The offer for the highly-rated 22-year-old, from an unnamed side, is believed to be in the region of £100,000 .

Le Fondre has consistently been among the top scorers in League Two since his arrival at Rochdale from Stockport in 2007.

Rochdale are reluctant to lose last season's top scorer, but could face a battle to keep hold of Le Fondre.

If we could this guy, plus Billy Sharp, we'd have 3 Billy's up front.... ace.

Skysports.com understands that St Mirren face a huge battle to hang onto Billy Mehmet.

The 25-year-old has begun the Scottish season in spectacular fashion as he bagged five goals in St Mirren's 6-3 CIS Cup win over East Stirlingshire.

Londoner Mehmet began his career at West Ham before moving north of the border with Dunfermline in 2003.

In 2005 he joined St Mirren, but after over 120 games for the Buddies he is being linked with a move away from the club.

Skysports.com understands there is very strong interest coming from England with clubs in the Championship and League One ready to make a move.

It seems a fair shout, but scoring 5 in his last game seems quite flattering as he's only scored 31 in 124 games, which doesn't really excite me. Especially at 25 and commanding a fee.
