Pretty sure we have a 50% sell on to Spurs so a million isn't really that tempting an offer. £2 million for Byrne + Smith is my guess.

Yep, anything up there is excellent business sense: but the quality of the replacement is important. Kent looks ideal, but it's another one on loan which means we won't have the same assets to sell next summer. I don't think our squad is much weaker than last year but it certainty has less potential £1m+ saleable players, and no new ones (maybe someone will emerge ala Gladwin, who knows?) |

Let's remember the young irish lad is currently playing part time football so it will take him time to get used to training everyday and get to a level of fitness required at this level, then he will have to be introduced gradually to L1 football, so I wouldn't expect to see him pushing for a starting spot anytime soon.
