Full-back Jay McEveley, who has been released by Swindon after making 37 appearances this season, has been linked with a move to join fellow Liverpudlian Robinson at Stadium MK.
"I've known Jay for a long time, he's a friend of my brother," said Robinson of the 29-year-old.
"I think rumours started when Swindon played Peterborough and he got sent off and came and sat next to me.
"He's someone I've always been an admirer of and we're looking for players of that calibre."
In other news Tommy Rowe who Posh released as he wanted to move up north has been linked with Bristol City which makes little geographical sense (Bristol has an airport, Peterborough doesn't is the only logic I can see here)
Oh fair enough, i'll shut up then

In all honesty he is a cracking signing at that level, Eastleigh are backed by some serious funding at the moment, they are hoping to sign ex scum striker Jack Midson as well who has a good record in L2. Their manager, Ex Pox player Richard Hill, likes ex Scum players as he already has Yemi Odubade, Craig McAllister and Guy Butters as assistant.

I googled Eastleigh and they have Will Evans on their books too.

James Constable has turned down Oxford United's new contract offer and has joined Eastleigh on a two-year deal.
The iconic striker, who is just one goal short of breaking the all-time goalscoring record, was offered a new contract after his previous deal expired at the end of the season.
WTF? Iconic.

Just had to pop in to the yellow forum and there's a great new thread describing OUFC as a laughing stock.
Can't argue with that!

Benny Hill was from Eastleigh
I thought he lived in Shirley in Southampton TBH. EDIT. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-17753021Worked in Eastleigh but was born in Southampton and lived in Shirley in Southampton most of his life, I know this as he lived in the street that my Auntie still lives in.
