85 games for Chesterfield.... define experienced.
Not saying the original post is correct but it's certainly a feasible shout. We're not going to get someone with 300 PL appearances behind him are we?
You could be right. Only in football 'experienced' usually means 'getting on a bit'

PDC, maybe? He hasn't got a lot on at the moment.

I would never call anyone who is 21 experienced but its just words, technically if he has played in the Premier League then he has "experienced" it.
Could be Bowery might well be a goer.
Another along the same lines is Rory Donnelly from Swansea, a big striker that has played a fair few games in Ireland.
Although I would personally call someone over 28 or 29 experienced.

Got an inkling the strilker is a fella called Bowery from Villa - they signed him from Chesterfield but has yet to make a first team start
Strangely this was the first name to pop into my mind when i heard the striker, but then again Bent closely followed.... Blackman anyone?

Anybody that thinks for one second Darren Bent would drop to the 3rd tier needs to have a word with themselves

Almost certainly nobody suggesting Bent was being serious. I would hope anyway!

Had a quick scan through premier league squads and the only 30 ish strikers I could find were Rosenburg and Fortune at West Brom. Almost certain they wouldn't drop down to league 1 so I think my detective time is over.

And anybody who thinks we could even afford him should do the same!! I see Birmingham are out to offload Ziglic, apparently on £55,000 a week and due to rise by 10 grand next season . . . reality check anyone?

Bowery is possible because of the Villa link and the fact he's essentially a lower league striker, although at 21 experienced would be a very misleading phrase to use. His record doesn't suggest he's the goalscorer we need although it's going to be tough to find one of them now on loan.
The most plausible possibility seems to be Simon Church: nowhere near Reading's first team so they'll want rid again, on loan at Huddersfield earlier in the season (and absolutely dire by all accounts, so not many champ teams above them in the table will fancy taking him on), and although he's only 24, better fits the 'experienced' tag.
He's who I'd put my money on. Going through the Prem teams not many plausible candidates outside of that.

Bargain, just the response I was looking for. Hook, Line and Sinker.
