That was a truly awesome day out.
We got there and Donkey and I managed to avoid the police escort and grab a couple of cans and a burger. Got to the ground and to be honest it was all a bit shite, with no atmosphere and a pretty apathetic performance form the lads. We started pushing more in the second half though and went mental when we got the goal.
Walking back was also quite fun. All the streets were cordoned off and us Town fans were taken in one big group on a tour through the streets of Gillingham. The small group of pikeys ran away pretty quick when a load of Town lads spotted them! It ws brave of you to chance a burger in Gillingham....what did it have in it.....hedgehog? Goodness knows. I'm still here 6 hours later though!

Oh and just to mention the incident just before half time. Basically, their bloke runs across in front of Jack Smith, gets a yard or so into the area and falls over. The referee blows and gives a free-kick on the edge of the box. I honestly thought he was going to book the guy for diving it was that bad, never even considered that he might give it against Smith!
Perhaps he gave the free-kick instead of the penalty to make up for his blatant error?!

Definite pen, Ifil handled inside the area earlier on too. These injustices couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

Also; whilst my right arm is quite sun burnt, early signs are that the limb will turn into a beautiful golden-bronze. Just a shame that the rest of my torso remains a pastey pink.

Shit atmosphere in the ground but lovely sun, shame I look like a lobster now! Got off the coach and were told "find your own way to the ground" then was promptly told by the O.B to wait as there were coppers and horses coming to escort us to the ground. Got escorted to the ground and apparently there were coppers from 4 different forces there!!! Game was shit, Morrison is a big fucker! Looked ok. Scoring the goal today was the best feeling all season really seeing them look shell shocked! After the game was escorted to the end of the street with riot vans, coppers, dogs and horses etc all waiting for us. Finally started moving and 4 or 5 pikeys started gobbing off and several people charged them! Was funny as fuck seeing them leg it, we carried on as roads were closed and we all sang "We sent the pikeys down" (even though its not technically true but hey) Quality Day! The copper said int he car park with the coaches after that the police at the gills game were going to ebbsfleet as "apparently there is some history between swindon and oxford"

me too, the face is a bit sore, and the aftersun is currently in the fridge ready for next application.
How was I to know that the first day of summer would be today?
