I wonder if the football league would let us not compete next season. So we could have a nice long break off football before retaking our place for the 09/10 campaign.

It's been a long season. I feel I have missed a few more games than I should. It was nowhere near as good as my pub protest half season days though.

I wonder if the football league would let us not compete next season. So we could have a nice long break off football before retaking our place for the 09/10 campaign. An extra Bank Holiday in October to celebrate winning the Battle of Trafalgar would be good. |

Lot's of good October Battles. I like Agincourt....I could go with a day off for that. Little regarded, but in my opinion worthy of consideration, is the battle of Salamanca...when it was said Wellington's Anglo-Portuguese forces routed the French army of 40,000 men in 40 minutes. Unfortunately its late July, so not much good. I was once asked to leave the Duke of Wellington....for using the bar furniture to recreate the Battle of Salamanca. |
