I don't understand that. Swansea are 16 points clear. If they win this weekend, and Leeds lose, the championship is decided (unless they give Leeds a bonus), so why not have the trophy there in case ?

What a fucking shambles. Swansea won the league fair and square, let them have the trophy.

If Leeds get their points back it will just make a complete mockery of the game and the league system.

Why don't we join them in a class action and try get our countless points deductions back  :-))(

Am I right in thinking that if Leeds fail in their appeal, there is a chance they can be deducted further points??

Don't see why not, surely in that case the FL would be in their rights to punish them for taking them to court despite an agreement not to? I suppose it depends what was written in the agreement

As funny as that might be, Leeds don't actually own the ground any more do they?

I say let them go up. If they don't go up this season it'll be next, and that will narrow it down to 2 teams from the remaining 23. I want us to be in the CCC sooner rather than later!

UPDATE

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/7375942.stm

Looks like the outcome will be revealed today.

Any return of points would upset Leeds' League One promotion rivals, with Doncaster and Carlisle already hinting they would take legal action if this were the case.

I bet they get some points back but not enough to send them up automatically - and they will still complain

I don't think they can get a reduced number of points back - it's either all of them back (ie, the football league were wrong) or none (they were right).

They can, as the panel can decide that the League were right to impose some punishment but that 15 points was too harsh. Penny to a pound they get some back but not enough to make any difference. They could also be deducted further points of course for breaking the agreement not to sue. Preferably at the start of next season  Cheesy

I reckon they'll get some points back, just enough to give them home advantage in the second leg of the play-offs.
