Yes, it was a Scouser that told me, but.....

From the Telegraph website:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/graphics/gallery/football/champsleague/semis-leg1/liv2.jpg

Quote:
Alonso's 88th minute caution followed a challenge on Eidur Gudjohnsen, which TV replays showed involved no contact from the Spaniard.

Liverpool officials are furious today amid claims Gud-johnsen taunted Alonso after he toppled without being touched - and told the Spaniard he knew was on a yellow card already and would now miss the return.

But I don't even recall there being any issue about it? Other than the whole missing the next match thing...

It was a harsh booking and I think most would agree with that, the Scousers are just being biased.

Really, Alonso should be thanking Gudjohnson....otherwise he would have been playing on a yellow card tonight and if he got booked would have missed the final (providing Liverpool actually get there)...

ps. Jamie Carragher is the best defender in the world ever, pure desire & commitment...

Good point DV85, Carragher has been immense.

Tell you what, Robben has made all the difference for Chelsea. Carvalho is a very lucky boy not to be on a yellow, he's made a fair few bad challenges in the last 20 mins.

It's going to be tough for Liverpool from now on...

As for Robben, he's a fantastic player and can cross, but he's dross tonight Hmmm...

Ever since he has been playing centre half for Liverpool I havent seen him put a foot wrong all season, pure guts as well.

One of those players who arent technically gifted but work their fucking bollocks off and give 200% blood, sweat and tears all the time

If I had my way id have a team full of Carraghers....

would probably be bottom of the league. but I do know what you're saying.

Makalele is one of the best midfielders in the Premiership this season I reckon.

I'd have a team full of John Terry's and you'd still get goals. Not looking good.
