As its this coming Saturday anyone got any hot tips?

I need to pick 5 horseys for each way bets this year for a change as opposed to my usual one and lose.

(Also, any northerners know any good pubs in Manchester/Liverpool to watch the racing/football as were up there this weekend?)

You can bet fB's on how many horses end up with a visit to the glue factory after the race.

The fences have been modified, to help prevent horses dying.  If the ground is soft it will help any fallers.

I shall be piling each way on Butlers Cabin if the ground firms up over the week. If not I'm tempted by Comply or Die, heck of a good price at about 10 or 12's given he's carrying very little.

Really good field this year, Slim Pickings ran a belting race last year so he's got to be worth a shout as well. My 'tip' would be Mon Mome, I've been assured by 2 seperate people that at 33/1 you could be truly quids in. Tempting.

Agreed I usually go for something around 16-1 on the morning of the race, but as I won't be watching the race it takes away a bit of the excitement.

I've got Simon in the sweep stake, not bad apparently.
