trouble is there is no such thing as an investor in football.especially a club like stfc. up to its neck in debt. fitton can only be seen as a benefactor.because unless he has a hidden agenda,he wont get a return on his money. for those reasons i am still dubious. I think the difference is that Siwndon isn't his 'toy' - money won't be thrown at it for the sake of it. Fitton's taking a more pro-active view and really wants to run a proper business. Perhaps he enjoys doing it like this (shock, horror!).

Fitton has clearly done his research.
A top 3 League Two team will bring in more fans that a 18th placed League One team.
Fitton has hired MM to take us down, with alot of players on longer contracts we can keep the same squad and be at the top of League Two again, like last season.
This will bring in the 'glory' fans and we'll make more money
genius!

Definitely Reg, I know the trust have been able to get those round the table meetings with Byrne, are they able to get in contact to maybe suggest a fans forum? We have. Repeatedly.

To some extent I can understand why they wouldn't want to hold a fans' forum at the moment - it could turn into a Malpas lynch party. What I'm sure they'd want to do is discuss the way forward for the club, the "big vision" etc, whereas at the moment there'd be the risk all that would be just pushed to one side and the whole thing just dragged down into a series of attacks on Malpas. Which wouldn't necessarily be terribly constructive or useful. I don't KNOW that that's why they've not decided to hold one, but I can imagine it might be a factor in their thinking. And yes I still think they should do one - AK fronted up at several fans' forums even when he wasn't wildly popular and actually did himself some good.

I won't be entirely convinced until we start performing better financially, but some of the ideas are great - they are listening to the fans, if you disregard the Malpas issue. Either the fans or the board will end up with egg on their face about that one.

We could hold a fried egg sandwich eating competition to see who ended up with most egg on their face....I could do a good job for the fans.

I know what you mean Arriba - it feels like someone in the street has given you £100 and you're wondering what the catch is.
Having said that, they have so far earnt my trust and confidence.

Hmm I'm at a loss to think what the catch is. Short of re-franchising it all seems ok. I guess the only thing that would screw us over is if they had lent tonnes of money to the Club, but we're all under the impression that it was a condition of sale to pay off those debts. I suspect more will be revealed in the future.
