On a brighter note, I couldn't hear any drums from where I was sitting.

See, Malpas couldn't even organise that properly. Wink

If we play like we did today for the rest of the season we wont go down

We got beat!

yes, but not every team is as good as Leeds United, are they!

Were they that good though? I dont think so!

Other than Cheltenham, we have been poor of recent weeks!

Winning 19 games and only losing 7 seems to indicate Leeds United are a good team

I was basing it on the 2 times I have seen them play. Both against us. Both times they have not been that great. Maybe you think different. Were they that great at Elland Road or today DV?

Well their defence was good and alot stronger than alot of other back 4s we've seen down here this season.

Going forward, they didnt have too much about them....or in midfield but their defence stood up and were counted.

Against a lesser defence today we would have scored a few and won that game.

Thought we played fairly well compared to last saturdays shit, and think a draw would have been a fair result given the chances. They took their one clean cut chance and we didnt really create a great deal.

They were no different to most we have faced this year! Walsall, should they have beat us 3-0? On performance, yes, but on paper no! I will happily give Malpas a chance, but im telling you now, he was the cheap option and the wrong option!

That cheered me up too.

I also thought the away fans stealing the balls was quite funny.

3 points on Tuesday and we'll be right.Bournemouth,Luton and Port vale are almost shoe-ins for relegation and I think there is  at least one other side(Gillingscum) that is worse than us.I've only got one gripe with MM and that's the decision not to recall Brez today after Tuesday.

I was very surprised about Brez not getting a recall today.

I take it Smith played Ok today, how ironic it would be if he dropped him for Brez on Tuesday.

not trawling the thread so sorry if i'm going over old ground.

ref was shit, missed stuff for us but also missed a blatant pen from ifil in the second half.
comminges could play a higher level than this.
roberts had a decent game,as did paynter.
smith was a shadow of the keeper i know.
overall we had the better chances, the only reason they were not shots on target was down to player faults.the chances were there.
like the look of the new cb as he deffo has something about him.
town end looked idiots singing your support is fucking shit to leeds.
poor atmosphere for a big crowd.
loads of leeds in home areas.most were blatantly obvious as they had scarves and club wear on.well done stewards NOT!
saw a few scuffles pre match, and that was quite entertaining.

think we might have won if the midfield had balance.allen has the touch but is too weak.easton is not a right mid!
right substitution, but to late morris!

and me. on the way back from the game me and my dad went past the leeds coaches and we saw a couple of lads with the footballs. Maybe leeds fans have a football fetish. or they are poor.

I thought Leeds were pretty ordinary and the most unsporting guests down here for a while, particularly the front 2 who were complete tools. Thier goal was two yards offside and right in front of the lino. Their gyppo, however, was different class and was MOM for me.
The referee was also a complete tool. His decisions on handball and dangerous play were a shambles. Leeds certainly had the benefit of more decisions than we did. He also missed two stonewall penalties 1 for us on the Minge and one of theirs after Ifill fouled their guy.
I don't think we played particularly well and the lack of technique of a lot of players showed in these conditions.
Smith - looked poor. Roberts was OK until his last touch which was absolutely abysmal whether a shot or a cross. Ifill and Aljofree were OK as was Vincent. Despite the fact we have four wide men on the books, i personally think The Minge is better than all of them.
I wasn't impressed by the midfield at all. MOM for me was Paynter again abnd Cox did OK.
All in all a very frustrating game - I think we could have played all night and still not socred.

I'd agree with most of that aside from Roberts, who did my head in today, especially in the first half, general poor dead ball delivery.

Allen was anonymous for the large part and should have gone earlier, and vincent took an age before realising as our only left footer he needed to get forward more.  Paynter looks different gravy from a few weeks ago and was constantly dangerous and skillful on the ball.  However why on earth do we need to kick the ball in the air when its blowing a gale! Schoolboy stuff and really frustrating.
