Right got this through email for all you 16-25's who use the train a lot especially for football!

Simply visit http://www.youngpersons-railcard.co.uk/voucher before 16 March 2008 and follow the instructions — you'll need code SAVING12 when buying your Railcard.

The offer's available online only — it isn't available at stations.

You can basically get the yearly railcard for £12 as opposed to £24.

The card gets you 1/3 off the price of rail travel.

Neat. I'll sort that if I find £12 from somewhere. I had a free 4 (or maybe 5) year one when I got a student bank account, but that ran out.

Don't worry you've still got a bus pass to look forward to.

A few months after my 26th, I was in  Greece doing a bit of travelling with a very fit 18 yr old  Cool .  There it was possible to get a student/young persons pass enabling the getting of cheap flights (they were pretty expensive back then)   Although over 26 thought I'd give it a go....no problem  didn't want to see any ID.

A year later I was back again sans bird  Sad  , thought I'd do the same thing went to get the card...fella looks at me and says you're over 26....what could I say.  It was at this point I realised I was no longer a young person.

That realisation occurred to me a few weeks ago (At 33 yrs old), when I forgot my age.
