I'm going to the Merlin - plastic my arse - what the fuck is that supposed to imply? Do they serve the Beer in plastic cups? that's the one thing that pisses me off about the CGH.....oh and the fact that people sit at the bar......oh and the fact that Kasabian - 'L.S.F' on the jukebox is the fucking interlude before the song which then wastes a credit!

I think it's down to each local authority but you could well be right... the point is yes any sporting event will result in plastic glasses when they might be taken outdoors. I suppose they're easier to maintain/clean and cheaper to get shit loads of as well, from a barmans perspective.

It's down to agreement between the specific pub and the Old Bill, although in the County's case they had to comply I think otherwise risk losing their Saturday license.
As long as there's beer in some sort of container who gives a fuck? I'll drink it out of a bucket of necessary :?

I'm going to fix it with some blue-tak.

I also recommend forgetting the damn bucket altogether and using the tap rather than the well.
