why the fuck should I ? In an area out in the open where it is permitted what is the problem ? Fuck me - next youll want Cider banned "coz it offends you" and you like Lager.... What about the pies ? Ban the chicken and mushroom coz you like Steak and kidney What a load of bollocks.... The only time I can agree with the ban is if they have the bollocks to LEGALLY ban smoking.....not going to happen.......

Considering that smoking is "legally banned" in all areas of the ground, your argument is pretty crap. And before you go off on one, I'm quite happy for there to be a place for people to smoke, but the fact of the matter is the County Ground doesn't have an area that is legally acceptable for it

For what it's worth.
I am a very anti-smoking smoker. And I agree with any kind of ban/decision that may have stopped me from starting in the first place.

I'm a smoker and I'm quite happy to comply with the smoking ban i.e. in the pub I go outside, in a shop I go outside, at work I go outside, at home I go outside.
The problem at football is you can't go outside.
Well you can but they won't let you back in again. How about an out of ground pass so smokers can nip out, have a fag and come back in again? Or maybe a stewarded area outside the ground? I've heard that Reading has something like this.
I haven't been to nearly as many games since this ban came in. I wonder how many other smokers have done the same?

I am a non-smoker and couldn't care less either way HOWEVER
When you could smoke - The pubs had a better atmosphere I found - You didn't smell people farting in pubs - You didn't smell toilet blocks in pubs
You still have to walk through a group of smokers to get into pubs etc so the smoking ban really doesn't do anything to be honest...
The law should have been made for "smoking pubs" and "non smoking pubs" similar to "gay pubs" etc... That way you had a choice. If you wanted a fag you could go in certain pubs, if not then go to others...

my point is - outside the ground it is fine.....
There ARE areas inside the ground where you are still outside - depending which end you are in - so why not allow smoking in those outside areas ?
It is NOT illegal to smoke at football grounds - this is a club decision - not a legal one....
I am not arguing that I should be able to smoke wherever I want - just that there is absolutely no reason at all why there is not an area where you can go...
Must be better than all smoking in the bog !

Surely an enclosed area is completely covered by a roof? I dunno, I'm going for a fag.
And yes, I am aware that this argument is flawed for many reasons before some smart arse rattles their feathers.
