The best idea is to just bulldoze Walcot and build a stadium + extra facilities there. Not too far from the current site, easy to get to, extra revenue plus the massive advantage of Walcot being bulldozed. Everybody wins!
Unfortunately I don't think Fitton, Wray and co are legally allowed to put together plans that extinguish an entire suburb... Paul? Listen you seem a nice lad but im gonna hurt you soon not all people in walcot are scum. just most of them...... |

i lived there for 10 years macca.
shame, as my neighbours were great.
the trouble with there and other council estates is that the decent people are gradually dieing out.their homes are then taken by the riff raff that cause all the problems.

I don't wish to ask Mr Wray this, but perhaps someone on here knows the way to the venue. Not being a Swindonian I don't know where it is.
If it makes a difference I will be driving down through Burford on the A429 (I think), so could give someone a lift if they're on the way (and know where they are going). Thanks all. Entering Swindon from the Burford direction turn right at the second roundabout, it will be signed for the crematorium. Follow this road past the crem, you go over the A419 on the road bridge and reach a set of traffic lights at the Kingsdown pub. Go straight over and follow this road for about 1.5 miles, you will come to a double mini roundabout and the Moonies will be straight in front of you!! Cheers Ronnie. Good lad. |
