What like the hotel bod who asked  George Best question this when he was in bed with Miss World, when bringing in the champers?

We should play the classic 2-3-5 formation like they used to do until some point in the (I'm guessing) early60's.  It would be worth a goal start playing that formation, just for the shock value!

Have done that...worked a bloody treat...3-0 up inside 10 minutes, they shat themselves when they realised what we were up to.  It was 3-3 at half time (I am now more tactically aware than I was then) Oops

And actually I played 3-2-5 as I recall...but nearly...a bit...s'pose...

I'll get me sheepskin...

82 goals in 85/86 reg.

That season was about Colin Gordon, Brian (The badger) Wade, then later Bambi, who played wide, but could play up top.  Charlie Henry was leading scorer playing in midfield.

Now that was a season.

Indeed....I was so excited about a 2-0 win at Stockport on a Monday night..Feb 3rd, that it precipitated the conception of my first son.

I tried very hard, after the 1-1 draw at Mansfield, but failed.

  Striker... Shauin Close

Think I recall Chris Hamon's only goal v Notts County, in  a last game of the season job when we were already down

Hamon was a Channel Islander....Hoddle played at Spurs with a fairly average lad called Chris Jones, who was also from Jersey, and recomended   Hamon.....shame he wasn't as good as Le Tiss.

I saw him set up a goal for Bodin when the wispy-'tached one was on that incredible scoring run('twas against Luton I think)For some reason I always thought Hamon was a New-Zealander

It was against Lu'on, on Easter Saturday, just two days before the 4-6 at St Andrews, in which Bodin didn't score.
