RIP - I used to enjoy his programmes as a little'un.

Having said that, this would be great if it was one of his wind ups, in a desperate attempt to get his career back on track.  The nation pays its respect to the bloke, then at his funeral a traffic warden in a beard tries to put a ticket on the hearse, "I'm only doing my job" - queue JB's family and mourners going mental, then the traffic warden takes off his glasses and hat.... no wait.... it can't be.....it is......

So weird we were only talking about him at work on Monday - I got muddled up and thought he got his finger bitten off by an otter but then I was reminded that was Terry Nutkins

I grew up watching Beadles about - very sad he was younger than my dad.

also did he live in a lighthouse or is that another random Beadle fact Ive got wrong?
