i'd support Swindon no matter what league they are in.
It would be good to see top class players at the county ground though... I don't think i'd mind too much losing 3 - 0 to a Ronaldo hattrick for example.

There's no shame in being beaten soundly by a vastly superior team. I would enjoy the football is all i'm saying.

ever if he does it in spectacular fashion? How can you not enjoy the beautiful game played to it's full potential? I'm not saying i'd be happy about it as such, but week in, week out watching top class players would be good. Even if they are constantly turned Jerel inside out!

Without a doubt yes, whats the point of football if there is no place to aim for?

I'd enjoy seeing them beat other teams, and yes we may have deserved to lose any given (hypothetical) game, but I could never enjoy it.

I can enjoy a good, attractive game of football between two teams I've no affinity for............ But watching MY club being beaten, no matter how superior the opposition? No, I didn't enjoy that. The season(s) we won promotion to the top flight were the best. By a fucking long way! With regards to herman the germans post about financially crippling clubs, that was before the 30 million quid the bottom team gets. I would suggest that a season in the premiershit would be a very attractive prospect for Fitton and co, whether we stayed up or not.

Damn sure as much as I get pissed off with plastics, I must admit seeing us in the premiership again would be ace.
Then we could start dreaming the even more impossible dream of getting into Europe some day, can you imagine going abroad with loads of fellow Swindon fans on the piss to a european tie, would be amazing........maybe a dream too far but Ash it never gets shit the skys the limit.

If we were competitive then great. I would rather not go up though than have another season like 93/94 or to be in the position that Derby are in this season.
They have not said as much, and rightly so, but The Premiership has to be the aim of Fitton and co. That's the only way they will get any real return on their investment.
If we do it that's great. I would go to a few games, not loads though as it is (as perviously mentioned) bastardishly expensive these days. eg. £50 for Watford fans at Chelsea last season. Fuck that.
In the mean time though, I just look forward to having a proper club to support. It will be a novel experience.

Although we might get priced out of a fair few games, lot's of the bigger ones would be on in the pub where they serve beer and you can sit in comfort. Bonus.

I would watch loads of games on the box. I love it on the rare occasions when we're on and the even rarer occasions when we play well :?
