I swear he patronised the hell out of us when we took 4 points off them the season when we both went up.

And I've disliked him ever since having not been convinced to start with.

Yes, I am that petty. But it feels good to get it off my chest roughly 15 years later.

who he gets as backroom staff will be key.he had arthur cox last time who did alot to help their success.
i think now they have a hero back in keegan.getting shearer too wouldn't be a good move imo.
matey will obviously throw money at it and keegan is bound to buy in the limited time of the transfer window.i have a funny feeling things wont go as the geordies will expect.

Newcastle United FC really do make a rod for their own backs time and time again. If it works out then great. I hope it does. I really can't see it though :?

I just thought he said that we played well. Which we did. Fair enough I would have thought

I think it will be a stop-gap, but if the football is as good as last time I will be delighted

but on the bright side, at least newcastle won't have to worry about sacking him if it doesn't go so well.

I can't remember exactly what the words were, but it smacked of "the little club did well in their special game with the big team" Or so I recall.

Anyway, suffice to say I hold grudges and you are now on the list too...  Soapy Tit Wank

I though it would only be until the end of the season, then a full-time manager would come in. After all the work that needs doing on that squad cannot be undertaken in January.

Anyway its funny how the players that have previously lacked effort and were 'injured' pull it out now a new manager arrives

When we turned them over 2-1 at the CG, he called us 'kickers' saying we kicked his team all over the park. This despite no Hoddle playing that day, and I think we had Adi Viveash at centre-half, and they bought on Andy Cole from the bench, who they had bought 24 hours earlier from Brizzle.

It smacks to me of a desperate appointment as everywhere they turned people were turning it down then they hear Keegan may be interested and think the fan's loved him last time let's give it a go.

I can only see it going one way....I feel sorry for some of the players as it will ruin their reputations - especially if they are defenders !!

However most of the players have lost their reputations when they failed to put in the effort which didn't help Sam Allardyce
