Paul Sturrock was unknown Dundee United legend with a shite managing record in Scotland before he came to Plymouth.
Therefore I think this Malpas bloke will be shit hot. Not quite true Tails....Sturrock had done 5 years at St Johnstone and been successful by that clubs standards before getting Dundee U....it was then he had some kind of illness, and it didn't help. I've a mate who is an Argyle fan and I told him Sturrock had a decent reputation up there and would be a good appointment. Malpas is a massive gamble....limited experience in management, no experience of English football....I'll be very surprised if it doesn't end in tears. Just as well Luton got docked 10 points, becasue otherwise we'd only be 5 points off teh drop zone.

At first I think they thought it was a stress induced heart attack.....it was later rediagnosed as something less serious.

That reminds me of a mate of mine, he'd had palpitations brought on by a virus it was pretty nasty and was sent to hospital, a couple of weeks later he had chest pains so they sent him to hospital again, however he was diagnosed with indigestion!

Diamandis and Sturrock or Fitton and Malpas?
Two weeks ago we thought we might not have a football club at all. Frankly Fitton could appoint Jim bloody Smith and he'd still be a legend.

Of course Fitton is quite within his rights to appoint who he chooses.....in the same way fans are within their rights to question the "appointment of a manager with proven record" statement, when it turns out not to be true.

He has got a proven track record.
Fitton never stated it had to be a good one.

or if it had to be a managerial track record... Seriously guys, Malpas will be fucking ace.
This is from a close source btw. your source must be close to the playing staff then, it appears you're now listed as an STFC player on wikipedia.

Fitton never stated it had to be a good one. I've stated before that Fitton had no intention of throwing money at this, I suspect that the costs involved in getting a proven manager have discouraged him. Malpas is clearly wishing to prove himself, so is a cheap option....which is all we can afford.
