I think he just has a physique that makes him look lazy. He had to play centre mid second half and although not his position did a job. If he gets a few goals he'll probably go on a run again, he's a useful player to have

If I ever met Pooky I think I would tell him he's doing a decent job and that the people who boo him are total pricks. Been much better this season and is as worthy of a place in the side as anybody else there

Didn't Macca do that and Pook told him to fuck off?  :?

Perhaps he thought Macca was being ironic  Cheesy  I think Pook has been OK when I've seen him play this year although he barely got a touch against Hartlepool.  He dives in a bit and passes go astray but no worse than anyone else.  My eldest lad (who hasn't been to the County Ground since the Ndah/Walters days) met him in Bath over Xmas and refused to believe he played for Swindon even though the Pookster kept showing him text messages from the club about the takeover.  Said he was a thoroughly decent bloke who bought him a few beers

I don't see myself as fickle - I slate half our players but at least I do it consistantly.

I don't understand this idea that we have to love all of our players. We pay our money...

do you slate players even if they play well?

Sort of. If someone puts in a good shift it doesn't change the fact that they're a usless lazy cunt...  Tongue

i thought paynter was shocking today, he's got a chance to stake a claim again but he looked lazy and disinterested

i thought he did today what he normaly does, hassles the opposition. He made one hell of a block just before they scored, and considering he was playing as a holding center mid for most of the second half i thought he did alright.

Paynter looks lost because he was playing out of position.

First half he looked a bit lazy and didnt chase as much as Cox....on the flip side he was probably saving his energy for later knowing the game would be stretched and everyone would get tired.

Really, in a game like that you can let Swansea have the ball on the edge of their own box.

i was knackered just watching it.

Aljofree and Vincent did seem to pull up a few times, so I think they were feeling it.

Simon Cox was chasing everything, even in cases when he would have been better off holding his position and letting the right back have it (like Paynter was) I thought he'd be totally fucked up 65 minutes...
