I hope it's not Ling. I'd actually be disappointed in him if he left Orient. He's doing a damned good job there and there's still work to be done.

I don't like this business of clubs getting managers who are already under contract. There should be a transfer window for managers as well as players in my opinion. Just because other players poach under contract managers does not mean we should go to the lowest common denominator.

If people think we should appoint Ling that's fine. That's their opinion. BUT, if we were to appoint him, I would not want to hear one word from those people if he were to go to a 'bigger' club after six months of good results with STFC. If that scenario were to pan out and I came on here and found people posting the likes of 'Ooooh, Martin Ling is so dis-loyal.....it's only the fans who are loyal....etc etc' I will find out where you live and come round and piss on your head.

Barry Hearn has shown a lot of loyalty to the Lingmeister. Only last season a lot of O's fans wanted him out but Hearn stuck with him. For that reason I don't believe Ling will leave. I hope I'm right.

Hearn has been known to be prone to a bit of dosh being waved at him as well.

I dont agree, its a business and its about number one.

Seen as Plymouth have taken our manager who was under contract why should we only allowed to be pick a successor from guys who dont have a job.

Surely, for the most part there is a bloody good reason why they dont have one!

Capello didn't have a job before being appointed as England manager/coach/whatever his title is. Is he a bad manager?

What makes people so sure that Ling is the man for Swindon any way? Why should he do a better job than Martin Allen or Micky Adams? (anyone thinking of posting, "Martin Allen?Huh?? No way, I'll never go while that scum is in charge" or something along those lines, don't bother. I've just saved you the trouble)

The rules regarding managers need to be changed. It's just getting fucking farcical. Apparently Sanchez was sacked today. WTF??? They only appointed him six months ago if that. It's total bollocks.

because Ling has never actually been sacked and has been at the same club for what 7/8 years.

They are in a higher league then when he started and are in a better position. He has improved them.

Martin Allen showed some promise with Brentford and but took them over in league one and left them there. He did the same with Franchise left them no better off after such a short space of time. The same with Leicester.

Mickey Adams has managed and been sacked from so many clubs I dont even know where to begin!

Glenn is now spending his football time setting up an academy thingy in Espana, where he hopes to coach young footballers rejected by teh system, and give them a second chance.   Apparently,  he is motivated by his time with us when lads would burst into tears   Crying , when he told them they weren't wanted.
