Blimey, what a difference Andrew Fitton is. I wrote to him this morning, welcoming him and his consortium to our club and thanking him for securing the club's future and I get a reply within an hour - despite, I presume, him still being on holiday.
I don't think I can get used to this 'being replied to' from someone connected with Swindon Town

A little bit of me can see Diamond Mike sneaking around in the background, pissing himself laughing with a cunning plan to pull the rug after Fitton and Wray have settled the pressing debts.
I hope that they have better lawyers than Bill Power and Terry Brady did.
Fred summed things up nicely. A very cautious welcome is in order. Nothing more than that till after January when the shares actually get transfered and they can tell Diamond and Wills to fuck off. am thinking exactly the same thing. nothing would surprise me with diamandis. really hope it's true that he's no longer involved in proceedings. hope there are no more twists in the tale & the deal runs smoothly from now on. but as long as it's only 'conditional' I'll find it hard to get too excited.

It's probably been said elsewhere I'd like to propose a toast to the Trust I wouldn't have known a bloody thing about what was going on or been bothered to get involved without you chaps :guinness: See you all for a beer tomorrow

Made up with the news even if it is conditional.
Hopefully to deter Mike from pulling another stunt there will be some degree of protection over funds put into the club by the consortium to cover the debt and investment in the team. I have images of us getting to January being debt free with a top manager installed only for Mike to pull the carpet out from beneath us all, move the goal posts and collapse the deal taking over a ship on an even keel.
Bollocks though it’s Friday and I’m made up all the same.

I don't think I can get used to this 'being replied to' from someone connected with Swindon Town I recall there being a quote earlier in the week regarding them releasing a statement as soon as it was signed off showing board make up, plans etc... so where is it? This lack of information is dreadful.... Fitton Out!!

But Mike D won't be sat at the table with St Modwen. Fitton and Wray will and i'm sure it will be fine.

In Fitton's interview the weekend he said 2 of the 3 conditions he beleives have been sorted all that is left is to deal with HMRC - the interesting thing he mentioned was getting them to sign up to an agreement (I think was the word he used) and that it may take slightly longer due to christmas, this to me sounded as if they was not going to be paying HMRC either the whole lot at once (perhaps installments ?) or agreeing the amount that is to be paid.
Did sound a bit strange as I would imagine that to pay HMRC is as easy as transferring the money.
No word on if the CVA has been paid though - assume it has though and Androniku can join his mate Diamandis is taking another company to the brink.

I expect it's the amount. With Sandy's cracking book keeping they might not know the exact amount ...? You don't want Diamond Mike saying it's x amount and HMRC saying it's x amount plus another £3million or something. Also, are there not fines etc for late payment? Perhaps they're trying to negotiate those down...
