THE Town takeover will not be completed today as Andrew Fitton's consortium are made to wait for legal approval from the club's lawyers.
Consortium member Jeremy Wray has confirmed no further news will be forthcoming tonight but is still confident the 'conditional deal' will be concluded tomorrow.
The latest saga seems a fitting end to a farcical last few months for Town fans, as the club continues to sit on the brink of financial ruin.

i'm still optimistic. this is the closest we've ever been and i firmly believe it's simply the ineptitude and incompetence of the incumbent 'businessmen' at STFC that are slowing the procedure down.

They really have to make sure there are absolutely no legal loopholes in the contracts, make it so watertight that some delays are innevitable, this has to happend soo though surely as all the legal loopholes must be pretty close to being shut now.
I know it is a requirement to make sure that nothing whatsoever comes up that can cost the new consortium money in the future.
I dont think we should be too concerned but its just that we are all on edge over this after the total inneptitude of the present incumbants that we trust nothing and no one...until it is signed sealed and delivered.
