I think it would be pretty ace if we could be the plastic fans of non-league football.

In all honesty the idea of starting at the bottom and creating some new history and being part of it does appeal to me. We'd need decent crowds to make it work though.

the only problem is all the pro players would go and we'd have to get in some proper non league players. Who would be fucking shit and no better than some of the posters on here.

We wouldnt fly up the leagues and we'd be stuck watching some really really really shit football 364382374837498372 times worse that what we watch now.

It would be our shit football though.

It wouldnt be a case of flying through the leagues FM style,it would be stupid to think so.It'd be about building something that we could all be proud of.

Its not going to happen anyway.

It's all relative though Dan. If we got in the best of the pool of players available...

And the football currently at the CG is shit at best. It doesn't stop us all going to watch though.

yes, but the football we're playing now doesnt attract the fans. Attendences are decreasing and people moan about the standard of football and the players get booed off at half time if we're not winning.

Can you imagine how much worse it would be, in a lower league with worse players. Plus because we were once a league cup some of you guliable idiots would expect us to shoot straigh up the leagues and youd get pissed off when we didnt.

we're fucking rubbish. I dunno if I explained but all the players have gone so we've started again from scratch playing whoever will turn up. We're lucky to get 12 players each week. At the moment its about putting a team out! hopefully we'll find some more players and improve the team... :|

doesnt stop us going, but it must stop some people. In our play off season we got crowds of 8,000 even after a pretty good start we struggle to break 6,500

no, id be all for it....

....however being an ex-league club (well technically we wouldnt be, but we'd all think we were, if that makes sense)

Most people would either be put off by the extremely shit standard of football and/or the over exaggerated expectations. Almost like now....but on a larger scale.

AFC Swindon wouldnt attract the usual 6000 and it wouldnt need to in the early days.If 1000 people watched a club at that level it would be a decent crowd and I think if they were doing well and if it had the right sort of publicity thats would soon grow.It would be about claiming your football club back.

It wouldn't be STFC either,it wouldnt have any League history it would be a new club all together.

i wouldnt want it to be called AFC either by the way.

Even if 1000 people came along it would be good. How many newly formed teams even get a couple of hundred spectators?

If I wanted to watch good football I would stay in the pub all weekend and watch the Prem games.
