So rushing in to appoint a manager will solve all our problems? :-))( They certainly aren't rushing the takeover, although it should be complete by the end of the week.

I wish they would say "this" week. There's still 3 weeks left this year so let's be patient and give them a chance.

I think we've been giving them plenty of chances, personally my patience walked out of the door about 6 months ago and this whole mess needs sortin out one way or another asap as this is doing no one any good.....

If this board were going to sell they would have sold to Bill Power or Best Holdings or they would have wrapped up this deal with Fitton a long time ago.

unless the takeover happens the club is fucked.i dont expect anyone to be named as new boss for a while in the hope that the takeover happens.if it doesn't then we are well and truly fucked. who's the manager will be the least of any town fan-employees problem

We met up with a player (no names) in Ladbrokes b4 the game and he said the players dont want allen If that's true then it may be a blessing in disguise if Allen comes in. Why don't they want Allen in, have they worked with him? Was it McGovern?

we all know full well this is a business first and a football club second.
If we can save money by not getting a replacement for Sturrock then we will. Its all about the cash.
If we had any ambition as a football club we'd not only be going after free agent managers we be going after decent managers, trying to steal one....just like Plymouth....a club on the up it seems.

I don't think the players not wanting Allen makes them lazy....has nobody considered that they might just think he's a Grade A tosser? I can't say I'd be attracted by the prospect of a boss I despised.
I don't see the point in appointing a manager now. We could appoint somebody crap who would do no good, get sacked and leave us in the same mess. Or we could get somebody good, watch the takeover fall apart and everything go wrong that way.
Rushed appointments can often prove fatal.

So can appointing no one... So basically either way is risky. Which in my opinion suggests it makes sense to let Fitton sort it....Should the takeover happen.
