nijholt for me, surprisingly  Cheesy

fair enough, he'd be a risky choice but then so would allen or cotterill...

i don't think i ever saw nijholt play so i don't think his 'legendary' status is giving me rose tinted glasses or owt

Think of Darren Bullock with passing and shooting skills

Any managerial appointment is a risk!

Nijholt has a decent coaching background, has already shown a desire to manage us and if he can get that passion on the pitch I think he'll do a good job. Allen plays shite football and would fuck off at the first offer.

this has probably been mentioned already but i would have thought fitton (if this takeover is still happening) has been or will ask sturrock for his opinion on who should replace him.
This happens more than you think in football and i'm sure sturrock would know better than most.

it wil be coterill for me.
allen would be a disaster, taylor would have got a managers job by now if he wanted one which makes me think he has not impressed in interviews.
nijholt as someone said need to know the lower leagues, it may come over time but time is something we dont have.
we need to keep on the push with this squad or else we could lose this crop of players.

Don't want any of them to be honest, but out of those three, I hate to say it but MA would get my vote.

i agree 100% with you jan!
of the three mad dog is the one i'd have.
nijiolt just wants to get into the english game and is using the fact that he played here to try to get in.

Why are alone these three been mentioned?

Steve Cotterill is the favourite isn't he?

of the 3 I think i'd go for Allen, he has vast experience at this level and knows english football inside out, he may be a bit of a cock but he has had success and his methods work and he has obviously got contacts in the game.

I'd like to see us go for someone like Steve Staunton or try for Gary Speed  if he wants a management job at this level, both have coaching experience and would command the respect of the players straight away.

He's distanced himself from the job. We know these 3 have or will apply.

Not picking on you in particular but where does this "allen has had success" come from? He has failed in the playoffs 3 years running, and he had a huge budget and good backing at MK, he would not have that here.

And he's a twat.

Im not really a swindon fan but i dont get why people hate allen, just because he managed the dongs doesnt make him shit. he did ok there with fuck all and at brentford as well.

would be my choice for the job and i imagine he would be the favourite at this time...

Because he is a cock perhaps? He will piss off when the first offer comes in just like Sturrock and Wise did. We need someone who is prepared to stay a bit longer and do a decent enough job. On both counts Allen would fail.

Never said anything like that did i?

His experience at this level amounts to taking Brentford to the play-offs and then failing. He hasn't got a promotion on his CV. No thanks.
