Just out of curiousity...with a nice spec PC why go for such a puny pants graphics card? your money would have been better getting at least 1 if not dual x1950pro ATI's. I'm actually thinking of changing it to something with dual DVI, rather than an analogue and a dvi, but it has to be fanless and silent. Fans really piss me off! I also don't care about graphics as no games will be played, just music software which has low requirements. I debated getting something better, but for me silence is king and if i could spend 50p on a card that does what i need, i would. - Provided it has at least 32mb ram and dual monitor support! I was quite disappointed to learn i couldn't run my old AGP 64mb Radeon in the new mobo... I even ran the display at 16bit on my previous music pc.

For your needs Barry....you can get a fanless 6200LE card or similar for well under £20 on a PCI-E. Totally silent as it uses no fan http://www.ebuyer.com/product/116473

Thanks. Would you recommend it over the one i have spec'd with pc? Or is it just cheaper/quieter? I know jack shit about graphics cards and the people sorting out my computer said the one i have spec'd with pc is silent!

If you need a quiet fan yes I would recomend it, its about £30 cheaper than the 8500gt which I had and was pretty pants TBH. It will do the job you need it to do but wont play any games.
The 8500GT does have a fan but its fairly quiet but not as quiet as a fanless one!
If you have no plans to play games then it will be worth it, if you wish to play games at an average setting then go for an 8600GT rather than the 8500GT as its a much better spec for little more money...£55 compared to £50ish.
