how did he go to win the ball? the rovers player was running away from zaaboub and he lunged to try and catch his legs.
it was a stupid pointless attempt at a foul which he deserved a booking for but styles had lost it and gave him a red to even things up. he didn't go in from behind, he went in from an angle where he would have won the ball if it had been a cleaner tackle...and he wasn't a short arse frenchman. anyway, how can you or the ref judge whether he was trying to win the ball or take out the man? you can't be sure, therefore a red card for 'intent' is bullshit QED |

I agree, a red card was fucking stupid and the whole 'intent' thing is pathetic. Getting his marching orders was way over the top.
Oh and just to try and take this thread off topic, Pook was fucking superb today, as was Brez. Duuno who, but one of those 2 must've been MOM.
