Sturrock gone yet again no loyalty

He has probably found out recently what the board and Diamond Mike are really like and wants to get out.
I don't really blame him although i think he should have held on a while longer because things will really change if the takeover goes ahead.
I think he's taken the easy way out and also i think Plymouth have gone for the easy option, i think he's made a bad mistake IMHO, i can see him struggling with Plymouth this time around but only time will tell if he was right or wrong to leave.
I think he will be gone on monday, hopefully we will have a new manager before the Forest Green game, also hopefully Fitton will be the one choosing the new manager and not the current board, all depends on what happens with the takeover.

Spot on. It's a shame he won't give Fitton a chance but that's football. As for the new manager we'll have to wait and see i suppose. I think Fitton is choosing his man though.

With the average tenure of managers at all levels getting shorter and shorter (although that's only my perception), it's a fair bet that the Plymouth job would have been doing the rounds in a couple more years at worst.

I've been racking my brains and I can't think of too many examples (if any) of managers making a successful return to previous clubs (which they've managed, not played for).Why might Sturrock think he's any different ?

Finally Plymouth are very well placed in the Championship - in my opinion there is only one way they can realistically go. It's all very attractive when you've got a house in the area and are in a strong position to dictate terms - not so hot when you get sacked for the team being relegated 16 months down the line.

That said, I'll be disappointed if he goes, and fearful of him coming after Ifil, Corr etc in January.

  Graham Taylor made a success of returning to Watford, getting them up to the Prem, after the success of the late 70's.   I recall a game when we went there and won 1-0 with a Booby Howe goal.  Quinny was boss....it was late Feb, Watford were on a poor run.

  Sometime later I read an article about Taylor, where he explained how he turned it around to achieve promotioin, as they were undefeated after that.

  It involved going up to the summit of  Yr Wyddfa,  (Snowdon), with his personal guru and a bunch of crystals, and getting some positive personal energy... :shock:
