We'd get compensation for Luggy though, and quite a fair whack too. I cant see it being much more than £100k to be honest, the muff only got £225k (reported) for Hollowhead leaving for Leicester.

his Franchise history should rule him out as our entire fan base has a disdain of that club.

Ok lets start who we will get to replace Luggy. My guess, Steve Cotterill. Martin Allen. *shudder* :?

It's never going to happen is it. Ling maybe. Didn't he apply for the Swindon job before?

He's been in the job with the O's for years now, has set the club up the way he want's it from top to bottom. He's got a supportive chairman who's stuck with him even during the sticky patches, and now they seem to be on a bit of an up with a stadium development progressing. He'd be fucking mental to chuck that away to come here surely.

The bloke who forced Luggy out of the Wendies, Dave Allen, has just resigned as chair and a director. So now we've got two former clubs to worry about. Gaaah!

It's never going to happen is it. Why not??? Because ones managing Nottingham Forest and the other.... well see my last post. I can't see either of them thinking "oh fuck this relatively successful, secure well managed club that I'm doing OK with at the moment, lets chuck that away and chance my arm with a debt ridden groundless basket case like STFC just because I spent a few seasons there as a player".

Ling would be interested for sure. He would love to manage us. Did a great job with Orient and i think he'll fancy a change and be prepared to jump ship. We'll probably offer better terms as well.
I also heard a Bristol Rovers fan mention that Trollope could be interested if the job comes up. What are peoples thoughts on that? He is a Swindon fan apparantly what with his dad and all so who knows?

Martin Ling is currently the 7th longest serving manager at a League club and though he admits he does love the club wont leave Orient for us.
Calderwood would never leave Forest for us either, lower profile club, less wages etc.
Nijholt has expressed an interest and applied in the past..so why not.

I think you have a point, which is a shame. Let's hope Mr. Fritton will be able to entice one of them though. But in saying that, let's not jump the gun here as there is no official confirmation that PS is going anywhere.
