If the takover is to happen I'm sure we will be told on statement Friday, but if there really is a big hitch or it has fallen through then I don't expect a statement until after Sat's game so there cannot be any protests after the game.
Although I suspect if something does go wrong then Wills & Diamandis will stay away from the game to keep a low profile..
I expect Fitton to make a full statement if things go wrong though as he does seem to be a man that will tell the truth...and then he will want his money back that he loaned them (or was it for shares)
I suspect that Diamandis is upset that he will not get a bigger slice of the pie that Wills get's back

i'd say it's a fairly safe assumption that a certain advisor has got his knickers in a twist at being sidelined and is doing whatever he can to throw a spanner in the works.
the question is whether it's too late as the offer is with the lawyers - who surely have a duty to get the club sold if negotiations have reached a stage where andronikou has taken the lead - or if his opinion is worth anything around the club anymore.
i don't think anyone expected this process to be smooth and efficient but fitton seems like the type who is determined to get this deal done and i hope and pray he finds a way.

Diamond never has wanted to sell from the start.
Thing is- if this did fall through no other investors will look at us- they will see 2 failed takeovers and won touch us with a barge pole.
Diamond has been using BEST/Fitton to buy more time with the creditors, he doesnt want wills to sell for the reasons i have placed elsewhere on here. We can only pray this time wills doesnt listen to him

But then when the HMRC are called in, surely they will have to see if anyone has offered to bail the club out. Mike D would be fighting a losing battle, as the revenue could force them to sell couldn't they. Creditors need to be paid, Mr Fitton would sort this out. HMRC are not bothered that Mike D and co would like a profit.
Not sure if I have explained myself as well as I would have liked tbh.

Janaage- you are dead right. Someone coming in offering to pay all the debts, surely the CVA supervisors duty to the creditors is to accept the proposal.
But hey andronikou hasnt acted in the interests of the creditors thus far has he! If he had the FC may have got further

Holt just said on the radio that fitton is to meet with andronikou later this week to go through any areas of concern with the deal- this says it all.
There is no rift

Who's concerns though? Fitton has made his offer and is reportedly happy with that. Is it Andronikou who has concerns over Fitton's offer?? Clear as mud as far as I'm concerned. Not good news.
I have a feeling Wills may come to the rescue of this deal, not sure why but I have a feeling they feel enough is enough and now is the time to get this deal through.

I can't see why Mike D would want to stall the deal? What can he get out of making sure this deal does not happen? The club will go bust and he'll look a laughing stock. What can he possibly be thinking? I just don't get it.

What can he possibly be thinking? I just don't get it. Freddie Shepherd made 27mill out of Newcastle....and he's now looking to buy a new club (northern, probably Leeds), but he says his motivation is that "football is a drug and a very powerful one". Diamandis probably thinks something similar....it will be very difficult to give up his fix, and the fantasy of also making a vast pot.
